About Anne Gliddon
Many people nowadays do not follow a particular religion and have their own beliefs. An Independent Celebrant creates a ceremony that reflects an individuals beliefs and wishes to celebrate different occasions.
A celebrant will spend as much time as needed to create a ceremony that honours and reflects your wishes, or in the case of a funeral reflect the personality of the person who has died.
Celebrations of life for a funeral can include poems, readings, tributes, hymns, music and prayers creating a ceremony that reflects the persons personality and all that made them special. A Wedding, Hand fasting, Vow renewal or Baby naming can contain similar content and reflect the joy of the occasion.
For centuries significant events in peoples lives have been marked with ceremony to celebrate the joy or sadness of such occasions. A Celebrant creates ceremonies for those 'rights of passage' that we experience throughout our lives in a way that is honourable, meaningful and individual.
As an Independent Celebrant I create ceremonies or services, as they are also called, with care and consideration so that you have something that is unique. I will visit you in the comfort of your home and take as long as required to gather information to transform into a beautiful and moving ceremony.
